There are a lot of opinions and confusion around user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) out there.
At Primitive Spark, we tend to prefer to talk about UX, which feels like a broader term than UI, although we absolutely do UI work in our process.
The UX of a product is the confluence of a great many things, including business goals, branding, user research, information architecture, design, content, technology, support, etc.
It’s difficult to talk about one aspect in a vacuum, since they all affect the overall experience a user has.
Great UI requires great UX in our opinion. Maybe it’s not even worth isolating UI from the rest.
