#1 skill we need in UX: learning.
Why? First off, UX is driven by research. We need to learn about the user to be able to form hypotheses about the experience. Then we need to learn how users interact with our designs and adapt. But most of all, UX changes constantly, so we need to have a growth mindset about new trends, language, capabilities, user sentiment, devices, methods and processes. If you consider yourself an expert now and stop learning, you won’t be one in a year.
The best way to keep current on UX is to apply UX principles to our project work AND to how we approach problem solving.
